PRESS RELEASE by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana concerning the recent actions and statements by the Government of Venezuela, which constitute clear violations of the Argyle Agreement of December 14, 2023, and the binding Order of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) issued on December 1, 2023.

PRESS RELEASE

H.E. Dr. Richard Van West-Charles was formally accredited as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. Ambassador Van West-Charles presented his credentials to His Excellency Nicolás Maduro Moros, President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela at a ceremony held at the Miraflores Presidential Palace on Tuesday February 20, 2024.

His Excellency President Dr Irfaan Ali is participating in the 35th Intersessional meeting of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) ahead of the United Nations General Assembly.

This significant accord aims to strengthen ties, promote sustainable development, and enhance cooperation between OACPS member states and the European Union.
